Diarmaid Clery, Naomi Vaughan, Johanna Forster, Irene Lorenzoni, Clair Gough and Jason Chilvers have published a paper on appraising the feasibility of greenhouse gas removal (GGR) supply chains. The paper is published in the journal ‘Global Environmental Change’.

The FAB-GGR team has submitted a document as part of the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) & HM Treasury’s Call for Evidence on ‘Greenhouse Gas Removal’.
Naomi Vaughan and Clair Gough were responsible for chairing a roundtable for the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) on Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) options. The report created from this roundtable was used in Box 1.2, p.24 of the Policies for the Sixth Carbon Budget and Net Zero.

Johanna Forster, Naomi Vaughan, Clair Gough, Irene Lorenzoni and Jason Chilvers have published a paper on mapping the feasibilities of greenhouse gas removal. The work presents one of the first studies to elicit perspectives through an expert mapping process to broaden the discussion around feasibility of afforestation and BECCS . The paper is published in the journal Global Environmental Change.

Laurie Waller, Tim Rayner, Jason Chilvers, Clair Gough, Irene Lorenzoni, Andrew Jordan and Naomi Vaughan have published a paper on the contested framings of greenhouse gas removal and its feasibility. Their work examined different framings of greenhouse gas removal in literature and how social and political dimensions are emphasised differently. The paper is published in the journal WIREs Climate Change.
Astley Hastings, Brett Day, Anna Harper, Jason Chilvers, Tim Lenton, Samira Garcia-Frietes and Diarmaid Clery attended the two-day GGR programme meeting at Royal Holloway University.
The project team were in Manchester to share our latest findings across the project over the last year and discuss research and publications that will take place in Year 3. A number of our advisory panel members were able to join us offering constructive feedback and unique insights on our work.
Nem Vaughan gave oral evidence to the HoC Select Committee for Science & Technology chaired by Norman Lamb MP about Greenhouse Gas Removal as part of their inquiry on the Clean Growth Strategy. The video recording and written transcripts can be found here.
